Senior citizens events set for July 21, August 5, August 26 |

 Free health screenings and information about health programs, consumer fraud and financial safety will be featured at three senior citizens events being sponsored July 21, August 5 and August 26 by Senator Dale Risinger, Representative David Leitch of Peoria and Representative Don Moffitt of Gilson.
All three events feature free admission and refreshments.
A Financial Safety Seminar is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. July 21 at Lutheran Hillside Village Community Center, 6901 N. Galena Road in Peoria. Participants can learn more about how to protect their money and property. A representative from the Attorney General’s office will talk about consumer fraud protection, the “Do Not Call” Registry, identity theft protection, and understanding telecommunication scams.
A Health and Information Fair is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. August 5 at Snyder Village, 1200 E. Partridge St. in Metamora. Free health screenings will be available, as well as information about programs that benefit senior citizens. A representative from the Attorney General’s office will talk about consumer fraud protection, the “Do Not Call” Registry, identity theft protection, and understanding telecommunication scams.
